ACADEMIC

NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3 in a wide range of subjects including - Accounting, Agriculture, Art (Painting, Photography, Design), Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Digital Technology, Digital and Visual Communication, Economics, English, ESOL, Fabric Technology, Geography, History, Home Economics, Mathematics - Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Music, Outdoor Education, Physical Education, Technology (Hard materials), Tourism; and also Vocational Pathways.



HOMESTAY Homestay accommodation provides: • a safe physical and emotional environment • a warm, comfortable furnished single room with study facilities • 3 meals a day • laundry services Your homestay family will: • treat you as a member of their own family • set reasonable house rules and routines for your guidance • encourage you to participate in the family’s activities and events (eg chores, sports, family trips) • help you with speaking in English • help you with your life in New Zealand The Homestay Coordinator will assist you: • to make sure that you are happy in your homestay • help you with any problems or questions



SNOWSPORTS – TERM 3

Join your friends in the school snow sports programme in Term 3 and enjoy ski-ing and/or snowboarding at Mt Hutt ski field each Wednesday. Meet on the mountain at the weekends or in the school holidays. Lessons from beginner to advanced.


SPORTS Every Wednesday afternoon the whole school is involved in the sports and recreation programme. A range of activities is on offer for students to select from. Choices include: Athletics, Swimming, Tennis, Football, Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Basketball, Badminton, Golf, Squash, Table Tennis, Harness Racing, Horse riding, La Crosse, Motocross, Mountain Biking, Touch Rugby, Yoga, Zumba. School exchanges Term 3 - Snowsports (Skiing and snowboarding)

Students can also take part in many sports and recreation options in the community outside of school hours. A very popular option is a membership at the Mountain Gym (for fitness programme and classes).
