The series of works that will be on display are, Peau et terre #220723, Peau et terre #230723, Peau et terre #240723, Peau et terre #020821

Her work - The works of Emna Daoud bring quite a new perspective to the still life. She developed her own and unique style in her paintings and compositions. Daoud's use of color and shadow is particularly striking. A well-placed color pallet and composition on a shadow shaded backdrop. Bringing each fine composed piece very much alive The painting features a spectrum of hues that range from vibrant reds and oranges to cool blues and greens. The warm and cool tones are strategically placed to create a visual tension that keeps the viewer engaged.

The brushwork in 'Peau et terre #220723' is equally intriguing. Daoud's bold and expressive strokes give the painting a dynamic energy and texture. The play between shades and color, creating a sense of depth and movement. It's as if the canvas itself is alive with the artist's passion and emotion.

The Artist Emna Daoud - Born in 1998, Emna DAOUD is a Tunisian painter graduated from the "École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy" and based in Paris. Her work is exhibited in France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Canada, Miami, New York and London, both in galleries and at fairs and museums

The artist is originating from "Sidi Bou Saïd", an emblematic village of the richness and diversity of Tunisian culture, where Andalusian, Arab and Berber influences blend harmoniously and continually nourish her painting. The decorative motifs of arabesques, local crafts and ceramics reveal an exceptional cultural heritage and have profoundly shaped and nourished her artistic identity.

The vivid and velvety texture of the fruits present in her daily environment in Tunisia is an invitation to an unforgettable sensory experience. Emna would later rediscover these same sensations through the works of Louyse Moillon, a French 17th-century still-life painter.

On large-format canvases, she depicts fragments of fruit and ceramics concentrating on the most vivid and expressive parts of the subject, such as the velvety texture inside a fruit or the fragment of a ceramic that reveals a pattern. She focuses the viewer's attention on the most vibrant details of these objects, their hidden beauty, vibrancy, and presence. In this way, Emna rehabilitates these elements of everyday life that are not always perceived at their true value.

In her own words - On large-format canvases I often organize my compositions by juxtaposing a fragment of fruit with a fragment of ceramic, highlighting each other by their contrasting and bright colors on a black background.

These elements have a striking presence, and it’s important to me to reassign their importance to these everyday components that are not always perceived at their true value. That’s why I capture the most vibrant part of each subject, like a shimmering pattern on a piece of ceramics or the freshness of the texture inside a fruit, I want to show to the public how much these elements are vivid and alive.

When a work is completed, I feel a deep satisfaction to have highlighted the presence and the greatness that I perceive in the subjects present in still life and to have given them an imposing dimension. I also feel a particular joy when the public expresses that they feel "small" in front of the fruit, because this is precisely the effect I seek. Also, the feeling of wonder towards the subjects I paint is intense. Painting has this unique ability to bring things to life. However, I nourish a constant desire to question my work, to give it new dimensions and renew it.

My artistic work finds its essence in the delicate exploration of fruit textures, possessing a unique and intriguing presence. This captivating presence remains elusive, escaping any definition, and it’s precisely this enigma that fascinates and stimulates me deeply. Through painting, I immerse myself in this enigma, scrutinizing the fruit with a look imbued with scientific rigor. My creations take shape as artistic analyses where I question each fruit, seeking the secrets of their composition, to grasp the essence that gives such palpable vitality to their varied textures.

Ambitions: As an emerging artist, I am driven by a strong sense of ambition and determination, both in the present and for the future. I am consistently dedicated to expanding the reach of my work to a wider audience, while also sharing my creative ideas. In September, I’m going to an artistic residency at the Ateliers du Plessix-Madeuc in Saint-Jacut-De-La-Mer, Brittany. Simultaneously, my artwork will be showcased in various exhibitions across cities such as Madrid, Rome, Greece, Venice, London, Miami, New York, and Canada both in galleries and at fairs and museums. Additionally, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to exhibit at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and the Carrousel du Louvre.
