Our condolences to the family of Antonia Fantakis, who was the wife of the late Nicholas Fantakis, who was a previous president of our chapter. She was predeceased by her son Vaggelis. Condolences to her family, daughter Christina Dourountoudakis and husband Kosta, grandchildren Maria, her fiance Mike Matroni, and Dino. Also condolences to the family of Vaggelis, wife Charlene and grandchildren Nikola, Ariana and Kalista. May her memory be eternal. Our condolences to the family of Georgia Michelakis, who was the wife of the late George Michelakis, and the mother of Stella (Harry) Ioannou of Toronto, Canada, Manos (Evangelia) Michelakis of Chicopee., Aris (Janet) Michelakis of Agawam, Kostoula Michelakis of W. Springfield, and was the grandmother of Annie (Bruce) Kostas, George, Maria, Katerina, Elina and Jessica (Chris), two great grandchildren Athena and Zachary, a brother, four sisters and many nieces, nephews, relatives

Congratulations to Peter Petrakis and Kelly Deegan, who were joined in marriage on March 2, 2013. A lovely reception was held at the Sky Meadow Country Club of Nashua New Hampshire. Condolences to the family of Antonia (Hamilakis) Fantakis, who passed away Friday, March 15, 2013. She was born on the Greek island of Crete to the late Menelaos and Eleni (Koutsourelis) Hamilakis. Antonia worked as a sewing Antonia (Hamilakis) Fantakis machine operator for many years for Gemini Inc. in Springfield. She was a member of
St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the Philoptochos at St. George and the Cretan Ladies “Proodos.” Antonia was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She led a very simple life because she valued family above all else. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 35 years Nicholas Fantakis in 1993, the life-altering loss of her son Evangelos Fantakis in 2009, and her brothers Vasilis and Lefteris Hamilakis and sister Maria Stamatakis. Antonia is survived by her loving daughter Christine Dourountoudakis and her husband Costas of Ludlow, her daughterin-law Charlene Fantakis of Westfield, her five cherished grandchildren, Niko Fantakis, Ariana Fantakis, Kalista Fantakis, Dino Dourountoudakis and Maria Dourountoudakis and her fiancée Mike Matroni, her brother Aristedes Hamilakis in Greece, her sister Georgia Georgiakakis in Greece, her niece Christina Stebbins and her family, and sister-in-law Marika Hamilakis and her family. May her memory be eternal. We like to thank the following for their monetary donations in her memory.
