Don Dangler SOUTH MILFORD — Don W. Dangler Jr., 67, of South Milford died Monday, September 16, 2013, at 7:12 a.m. in Presence Sacred Heart Home, Avilla. He was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Dangler was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in South Milford. He owned and operated Mr. Dangler the Waterloo Hardware in Waterloo for several years. He also worked for Auburn Concrete Products in Auburn, Emma’s Warehouse in Emma, and Kelly’s Salvage and Hardware in Rome City. Don loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed trading, which was evident throughout his career in sales. He was born November 30, 1945, in Auburn to Don W. Dangler Sr. and Gracie (Crager) Dangler. His father preceded him in death in November, 1980. On November 11, 2003, he married Betty Slone in Butler. She preceded him in death on August 6, 2008. Surviving are a daughter, Michelle Schlotterback of Auburn; his mother, Gracie Neeley of Waterloo; his stepchildren, Leslie and Thomas Sibert of South Milford, Bridgette Southwood and Keith Mapes of LaGrange, Kim and Matt Green of Avilla, Terry and Angie Napier of Wolcottville, and Jerry Napier of Kendallville; three grandchildren, Tanessa Schlotterback, Macy Schlotterback and Isaac Schlotterback; eight stepgrandchildren, Lotus Sibert, Sabra Manns, Brent Manns, Cameron Green, Tori Green,

Douglas Hetchler LAGRANGE — Douglas E. Hetchler, 75, of LaGrange, Ind., died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Life Care Center of LaGrange. In 1960, he moved from Sunfield, Mich., to LaGrange County. Mr. Hetchler had worked in the maintenance department at Dometic Corp. from 1960-1999. Mr. Hetchler had served with Michigan National Guard. He was a member of Mt. Zion Mr. Hetchler Lutheran Church in LaGrange. He had served on the LaGrange Town Board from 1988-1991 and was retired from the LaGrange Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Hetchler was born Jan. 6, 1938, in Lansing, Mich., to Harry G. and Ruth A. (Nickols) Hetchler. They preceded him in death. On Nov. 24, 1961, in LaGrange, he married Sondra E. Schermerhorn. She preceded him in death on July 16,
