Vehicles collide KENDALLVILLE — A Kendallville woman was taken to a hospital following a three-vehicle accident Sunday at 4:35 p.m. at Park Avenue and Diamond Street, Kendallville police said. Tina M. Shropshire, 47, of the 600 block of Garden Street, Kendallville, told police she felt faint and light-headed due to anxiety. Noble County EMS took her to Parkview Noble Hospital for treatment. Matthew D. Patrick, 22, of 1200 block of South State Street, Kendallville, told police he was driving a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix eastbound on Diamond Street when the Pontiac hit the rear of Shropshire’s 2001 Ford Escort, which was turning north onto Park Avenue. Patrick allegedly told police he believed the Escort was parked at the time. The Ford Escort spun and struck a 2008 GM Yukon pickup truck stopped at the intersection on Park Avenue and driven by Heath B. Pfafman, 34, of the 1300 block of Lisbon Road, Kendallville.
Jeep hits car KENDALLVILLE — A vehicle changing lanes on U.S. 6 for a passing ambulance collided with another vehicle in the adjoining lane, a Kendallville police news release said.. Police were dispatched to
the scene at U.S. 6 East and Riley Street at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday. A 2006 Jeep Liberty, driven by Cheryl I. Young, 59, of rural Kendallville, was eastbound when it moved over for the ambulance. The Jeep collided with an eastbound 2005 Hyundai Elantra driven by Timothy J. Schlotter, 53, of the 200 block of South Park Avenue, Kendallville. No injuries were reported.
Bicyclist injured KENDALLVILLE — A bicyclist was injured Saturday in collision with a vehicle at Fairview Boulevard and U.S. 6 East, police said. Kevin Li, 13, of the 1900 block of Stacey Lane, Kendallville, suffered an abrasion to a lower leg. He was taken to Parkview Noble Hospital by Noble County EMS for treatment. Police said a Chrysler PT Cruiser, driven by Derek L. Jordan, 48, of Wolcottville, was traveling southbound on Fairview Boulevard and turned east onto the shopping center access road. Jordan told police he saw the bicyclist traveling southbound through the intersection but did not have enough time to avoid the collision.
15 booked ALBION — Fifteen people were booked into the Noble County Jail from Friday through Tuesday, the county sheriff’s department said.
• Joseph Calderon, 21, of Elkhart was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated-endangering a person. • Gary Dean Chaffins, 25, of Ashley was charged with public intoxication, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct. • Donald Lewis Godfrey, 64, of Kimmell was booked on a warrant for alleged failure to register as a sex offender and a sex offender Internet offense. • Trent Aaron Lewis, 46, of Kendallville was charged with carrying a handgun without a license, possession of marijuana or a synthetic drug and possession of marijuana, hash oil or hashish. • David Bruce Schocke, 35, of Ligonier was booked on a warrant charging him with operating while intoxicated, operating with a Schedule I or II controlled substance in the body and operating a vehicle while intoxicated-endangering a person. • Johnathon Neal Clawson, 28, of Wolcottville was booked on a warrant for alleged possession of paraphernalia, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture and visiting or maintaining a common nuisance. • Michael Patrick Earl, 57, of Nappanee was booked on a warrant. Man charged KENDALLVILLE — A Kendallville man was charged with drug possession after a rollover crash Aug. 1, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department said. Ethan A. Cox, 21, lost control of his 1987 Nissan

300ZX at 2:39 a.m. The car left the road and flipped over, ejecting him into a yard in the 9000 block of North Angling Road. No injuries were reported. Cox allegedly tested positive for drug use. He was charged with possession of marijuana, hash oil, hashish, salvia or a synthetic drug, a Class A misdemeanor.
Pickup recovered CROMWELL — A white pickup stolen from the Indianapolis metropolitan area was recovered near Cromwell Friday, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department said. The pickup was found with no license plates in a ditch near Cromwell Road and C.R. 860W. It was reported to police at 6 p.m.
Fraud reported KIMMELL — Someone fraudulently used a Kimmell man’s identity to make $2,000 in charges on a credit card, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department said. The fraud was reported Friday at 2:33 p.m.

Meth trash found KENDALLVILLE — Trash from a methamphetamine lab was found in the 4000 block of East C.R. 500N, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department said. The meth lab trash was reported Monday at 8:17 p.m.
Mailbox damaged WAWAKA — Someone damaged a mailbox in the 6000 block of North C.R. 600W, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department said. The criminal mischief was reported Monday at 8:16 a.m.
Cars collide AVILLA — One car rear-ended another Aug. 6, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department said. Kwanpilat N. Matthews, 33, of Kendallville was on C.R. 1000E when she failed to stop at the road’s intersection with C.R. 415N. The 2008 Volkswagen Jetta that Matthews drove hit the rear of a 2012 Lincoln MKZ driven by Eric J. Leffel, 47, of Albion, who had stopped at the stop sign. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.
KIMMELL — Someone stole a PlayStation 3 and $10 cash from a residence in the 2900 block of North Schlabach Street, Kimmell, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department said. The theft was reported Sunday at 4:45 p.m.
