Eastside junior high students earn honors BUTLER — Eastside Junior-Senior High School has announced junior high students selected to the honor roll for the first quarter grading period ending Oct. 11. Distinguished honor roll is a grade-point average between 3.8 and 4.0. Honor roll is a grade-point average between 3.0 and 3.79.

Kenneth and Gayle (Snyder) Koeppe of Auburn will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a small family celebration hosted by their children. They were married Dec. 5, 1953, at the Chapel at Atlanta General Depot. Mr. Koeppe was a dairy farmer in rural Butler until 1998, and Mrs. Koeppe was a secretary at Ball Brass, retiring in 1996. They have four children and their spouses, Kedric and Sherry Koeppe of Auburn; Randy and Renee Koeppe of Hamilton; Brenda Koeppe of Perrysburg, Ohio; and Mark and Debbie Koeppe of Auburn. They also have six grandchildren.

Lanning Jr., 53, of the 900 block of S.R. 1, Butler, was arrested at 2:31 a.m. Nov. 27 by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department on charges of operating a vehicle with an unlawful alcohol concentration in blood or breath, a Class A misdemeanor and operating a vehicle while intoxicated as a Class A and Class C misdemeanor. • Mark Frigo, 39, of the 300 block of East Liberty Street, Butler, was arrested at 1:29 p.m. Nov. 27 by Butler Police for alleged contempt of civil court. • Tyler Nodine, 18, of the 7800 block of C.R. 4-A, Hamilton, was arrested at 3 a.m. Nov. 28 by Butler

Fire calls • Possible woods fire, Nov. 23 at 5:14 p.m. in the 3000 block of C.R. 65. Three units and six firefighters arrived at 5:22 p.m. and returned to service at 5:37 p.m. • Possible ditch fire, Nov. 27 at 7:04 p.m. on U.S. 6 at C.R. 49. One unit and
