SYNOPSIS
Zamislite da imate braću ili sestre, ali ne možete da pričate sa njima jer ne govorite isti jezik. Zamislite da imate roditelje, ali ste odgojeni bez njih. Film je izvanredna priča o palestinskoj porodici koja je raseljena zbog nekoliko turbulentnih događaja koji su dali pečat prošlom veku: počevši od Španskog građanskog rata u kojem se otac Najati Sidki borio protiv Franka i fašizma, pa sve do Drugog svetskog rata, Nakbe i Libanskog građanskog rata.
Imagine that you have siblings but you can’t talk to them because you don’t speak the same language. Imagine that you have parents but you were raised without them. The film tells the extraordinary story of a Palestinian family which was dispersed by several turmoils that steer the last century: From the Spanish Civil War in which the father Najati Sidki fought against Franco and fascism to World War II, Nakba and Lebanese Civil War.

DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY
Amal Ramsis je studirala film u Madridu. Ramsis je osnivačica i direktorka Međunarodnog ženskog filmskog festivala u Kairu. Vodila je brojne video radionice sa ženama širom sveta. Njeni filmovi Samo snovi (2005), Zabranjeno (2011) i Trag Leptira (2015) su prikazivani na mnogim festivalima i osvojili su nekoliko međunarodnih nagrada.
Amal Ramsis has studied cinema in Madrid. Ramsis is the founder and the director of Cairo International Women’s Film Festival. She has conducted numerous video workshops around the world with women. Her films Only Dreams (2005), Forbidden (2011) and The Trace of the Butterfly (2015) have been screened in many festivals and got several international awards.
