Known as the Monte Carlo of North America back in the 1890s, Sandon is recognized today as a historic site of international significance. The Sandon Museum tells the fascinating story of Sandon, from its heyday when it boasted a bustling downtown and Red Light District to its demise by fire and flood. Housed in the beautifully restored Slocan Mercantile Block, the Sandon Museum draws over 20,000 visitors a year. Wheelchair accessible.
