System 3 Pag

System 3

As a designer I am interested to implement interaction within the work I make. Finding that the catching of the object is an interesting feature of the system the implementing of interaction was a goal. By using theoretical research, I found that the use of interaction came hand in hand with curiosity. Using a method of triggering curiosity called: Disruption. This method is used to create a effect were the participant will get a certain “shock/surprise” experiences. How to create this effect and what does it do?

Translating the effect that our actions have on our surroundings was the goal of the disruption method. How can I create the biggest change in a room or space with a simple interaction? I already had the interaction I only needed to find the best way to create the changing effect. Light was the answer.

By intergrading light into the installation, the movement of the object will influence the amount of shadow in the room. How more you interact how lower the object how more shadow there is in the room. This is not only influencing you but also the people watching the installation. Are you aware? (see fig, 20, 21, 22)
