– User authentication: Scanning to yourself is now easier than ever with Scan-to-Me. If user authentication is set (so the user is requested to insert user credentials based on Windows Active Directory account), selecting the “Me” one-touch key in the address book allows scan data to be sent to the user’s own email address. Use the Scan-to-Home feature to distribute the data to a registered PC. These simple but useful security features allow administrators to limit or disable any scan and send traffic outside of these ranges, effectively restricting where scans can be sent. – Scan settings: The administrator can, if desired, centrally define the scan settings in the Active Directory, including limitations to the end user settings range, or he can leave it up to the individual user. Defining scan settings centrally enables control of the storage volume (colour, file type and resolution). – Scanning to predefined destinations/document routing & storing: Users can scan documents directly to predefined destinations within their Active Directory account (scan to own or other e-mail account; home or other folder in the Active Directory; etc.). The access to and content of those predefined scan destinations is configured by the administrator or user in the Active Directory.
– Central document distribution to Active Directory addresses/folders: bEST Personal Scan provides access to predefined destinations from the Active Directory. The administrator can enable users to also reach e-mail addresses or can configure the application so that an e-mail address of the user’s choice can be typed in via the MFP panel. – Convenient routing to personal network destinations: Scans can conveniently be routed to the destinations of the Active Directory without requiring additional manual input (unless the user wants to enter another e-mail address manually). This creates a gateway to internal document routing options and minimises the error rate for misrouted documents. Push and pull scanning are supported.
