C4I RWS HT9A7's Ortel PRWS is a flexible remote weapons system operated by the commander allowing for full hatch-down operations and the use of a wide variety of weapons systems via its innovative MBS design.
Sensors The HT9A7 is equipped with a sophisticated multilayered target identification and acquisition array shared between the gunner and commander to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
A full array of combat networking options and tank connectivity at every tactical level with full encryption ensures battlefield flexibility and the HT9A7's potency not only as a tank but as an asset.
Armament A powerful and innovative 128mm L/55 smoothbore cannon coupled with high performance ammunition provides unrivalled striking power against all modern battle tanks and assures battlefield potency.
Armour Modular composite armour blocks utilising reactive armour, titanium alloys, advanced steel compositions, DU alloys and next-generation ceramics form the tank's powerful protection against a full spectrum of threats. 01
Mobility The 2200hp 10 cylinder diesel hyperbar works in conjunction with the automatic transmisison and hydractive suspension to push the tank further and faster, with a particularly impressive P/W ratio and ground pressure.
Protection A combination of soft-kill jamming and obscurant options coupled with a multi-layered hard-kill APS suite defend the tank from all incoming threats before impact.
The Block 2 version of the HT9A7 is equipped with additional armour but compensation for this with the use of titanium alloys in place of IRHA in areas of the appliquĂŠ armour ensure that the weight increase is marginal. The electronics suite has also been greatly modified, and RWS armouring together with the addition of sensors to the APS suite round off this comprehensive update to the original HT9A7.
