ith so much going on in King’s Lynn in the run-up to Christmas, there are plenty of great reasons for visitors to literally Discover King’s Lynn this festive season. With fantastic latenight shopping events, an enchanting Christmas market and the return of Father (and Mother) Christmas to their busy grotto, there’s a packed calendar of festive entertainment planned for the heart of the town centre.

It all kicks off with one of the biggest events of the year with the grand Christmas Lights Switch-On, which promises a whole afternoon of fun on Sunday 25th November – a spectacle that always draws large crowds to the centre of King’s Lynn. Starting at noon, there’ll be street entertainers, glitter bars and facepainters, music and a host of family-focused activities, plus the chance for children to have a quick chat with Father Christmas and Mother
Christmas as they officially launch this year’s Christmas grotto in the Vancouver Quarter. From 2pm, the historic Tuesday Market Place will host an exciting programme of live entertainment as the main stage opens with a selection of special guests, including performances by some top local bands – including Bear Club who thrilled the crowds earlier this year at Festival Too.
