Azuma House: Abstraction to Transformation

Building off the case study, this project draws inspiration from the precedent house to transform it into a new composition. Starting by abstracting the Azuma House, Part II uses a kit of parts to build a bas relief model, which serves as the basis for a board composition made of the drawings developed in Part I.

This composition takes inspiration from the walkway across the open courtyard, contrasting its solid concrete enclosure in the Azuma House. Drawing from the strongest ideas present in the iterations, the final board uses the orthographic drawings as framing elements, while the diagrams act as a bridge, tying together the renderings.
