Excess rain at early stages may affect the crop severally. One rains stop, re-sowing / gap filling of shorter duration crop verities/ alternative crops should be done as suggested above
At late stage of the crop growth
If kharif crops at a later stage of growth are damage due to excess rainfall sowing of rabi crops like safflower, fodder sorghum and mustard may be taken up after the rain is received. Ratooning of the Hy-sorghum may be taken up if sufficient soil moisture is available. Sowing of gram may also be done.
