Cassia is a striking girl who will definitely catch your eye. The problem is you might have a hard time catching her. Cassie is a bit on the shy side. Since finding herself at the shelter Cassia has come a long way, but she will still need a very patient and quiet home. This tiny little girl was found stray and pregnant. She was still pretty much a kitten herself when she became a mama. Cassia was a wonderful mom who took amazing care of her babies. All her babies were adopted quite some time ago, but Cassia is still with us waiting for the perfect home. Cassia enjoys the company of the other cats and has bonded nicely with a shy male in her room. You can really see her personality come through if you just sit quietly and pretend you are not interested in her at all. She plays, races around, and basically acts like the youngster she is. Cassia is also a polydactyl, which means she has one extra little toe on her paws. Cassia will do well in a home where she will be given lots of time to come around and accept that not all humans are bad. She really wants to be a lap cat, she just has to make sure you have the right lap. Bensley is about five years old and when he first came to the shelter he was reserved and nervous. He would cringe from us and spent a

from lot of time hiding. Well that’s not the Bensley we see now. He’s a character and he knows it. When you come into his room don’t be surprised to see him shooting through the cat door to say “hello”, and to make sure you aren’t carrying some yummy cat treats with you. Bensley loves his canned food. And if you don’t give him a dish of his own he sure won’t share the communal one. The Bensley we see now is fun, and friendly, and outgoing, and a prankster. He was surrendered to a vet for euthanasia because of inappropriate peeing. The truth is Bensley’s world was turned upside down at his former home, and the stress was simply too much so he acted like many stressed out cats do. Bensley appears to be over his stress. He’s a happy go lucky boy just waiting for someone to play with him, and of course give him a small dish of canned food. Not to mention he’s extremely handsome.
