Success Story: Powering Yettinahole Drinking Water Supply Project

In a significant development aimed at alleviating water scarcity, Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) has supplied more than 35 pump sets in four packages, consisting of metallic volute pumps (MVPs) and vertical turbine (VT) pumps, to the Yettinahole Integrated Drinking Water Supply Project.
The MVPs play a critical role in these pumping schemes to lift large volume of water with high head by single stage impeller. These pumps are equipped with many advanced features including metallic diaphragm couplings to run with very low vibration enhancing both performance and reliability.
The Yettinahole project, designed to address the acute drinking water crisis, aims to divert water from west-flowing streams of the Western Ghats to benefit seven drought-prone districts of Karnataka, including Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Hassan, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Ramanagar and Bengaluru Rural. This massive undertaking will supply drinking water to 6,657 villages and 38 towns, covering 29 taluks. KBL is proud to contribute to this vital project, which will solve the pressing challenge of water scarcity of the region.
