Her sister, Shaun Hopson Dickerson ’00 served as Meredith’s Matron of Honor along with Liz Riddle Anders, Katie Austin, Stephanie Sweet Ingersoll, Jamie Smith Luff, Erika Palmer Mandel, Brooke McGuyer, Colleen Sheedy, Meredith Leachman Smith, Lindsay Green Wallace, and me all in her bridal party. After 11 years in Chicago, Meredith and Andy will be settling down in Houston. Meredith will continue to work at J.P. Morgan in Leveraged Finance, which she had done previously in Chicago for eight years. After four great years of writing for Forbes, Karen Blankfeld became a creative executive at New Regency Productions where she looks for material from journalism and theater to develop scripts for movies and television. Karen continues to live in Manhattan and has been training for a marathon in her downtime. Ross Canion and his wife Sarah Jane Canion ’99 are busy settling into their new home in Tanglewood and preparing for the arrival of their baby girl in July. Justin Campbell and his wife Vicky are enjoying life in Los Angeles and

are busy running around after their preschooler Sidney who is about to turn four. She skied for the first time this February making her parents very proud. His wife manages the pediatric cardiothoracic program at UCLA, and Justin works for Southern California Edison. Sounds like life is good! Jonathan Carl is continuing to enjoy pastoring in Hodgenville, KY and is in his final year of Ph.D. work at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Brittney are celebrating nine years of marriage together and continue to feel blessed by their daughters Sophia (3) and Lydia (1). They are also extremely excited to announce they will be adopting a child from China in the near future! Leighton Carl and his wife Jenny recently welcomed Esther Snow Carl (baby #4 and girl #2) to their growing family. Leighton and his family continue to live in Waco where he practices family medicine. In what little free time they have, he and his wife host a small group from their church, and Leighton somehow found time to run a couple of marathons this winter. He reports that he’s recently started shaving his head to fulfill the

Morgan Stockdale Chapple and her husband Ryan are living in Austin where Morgan continues to work as a consultant for the Central Texas Autism Center. They have a little girl named Isla and just welcomed a baby boy to their family a few weeks ago.

Ashley Gillespie has been happily married to her sweet husband Kyle Gupton for two years now. They are living in Austin with their two puppies, Fleetwood & Kate. Ashley is currently employed at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage in marketing in addition to working as a stage manager at various festivals throughout the country (ACL, Lollapalooza, Hangout, Coachella - you name it).

Alex Curlet and his wife Catherine recently bought their first home in DC. They are gradually settling in and enjoying all the surprises of home ownership. He’s still working for Clark Construction and was recently promoted to Director. This summer, he and Catherine are planning a trip to the Pacific Northwest. Kasey Buza Davis is excited to announce that she and her husband Tim will be welcoming a baby girl to their family in September. Congratulations! Heather Heidemann Deiss and her husband Scott just celebrated their seven-year wedding anniversary. The couple spent a lot of time travelling in 2012, including trips to Hawaii, Cabo, Banff National Park in Canada and Japan. Heather is still enjoying working for Chevron. She just transitioned into a new role in Chevron’s Africa/Latin America HQ Finance group and will be travelling to Nigeria on business for two weeks in July. She’s very excited to see what that part of the world is like and how it compares to all the guidebooks she’s been reading! Mark Dinerstein is happy to report that he and Stacey Kirsch were married on April 20 in Malibu, California. They are living happily ever after in Venice Beach with their Boston terrier.

Elana Herman Evans and her husband Greg are still living in Houston near Rice University and will celebrate their sixth anniversary over Memorial Day weekend. Their son Henry is three and a half and attending Presbyterian School. Millie is one and a half and will start nursery school in the fall. Elana is still practicing corporate and energy law part time on a contract basis. They love living in Houston and spending time with old friends including Henry and Millie’s godmother Heather Heidemann Deiss. They are looking forward to spending some time at Rosemary Beach as a family over the summer. Grayson Fitch continues to work for Constellation in downtown Houston as a project manager. He will be spending time this summer scuba diving in Curacao and getting ready

Katherine Harper recently got engaged to fellow SMU alum Jared Valandingham who first became a fan of Katherine’s through her popular cooking blog, Gourmaybe. Katherine and Jared will be getting married in Santa Fe early next year. Katherine continues to work at Reel FX in Dallas. Their first film comes out on November 1, just in time to provide Katherine with a little downtime before the wedding. Ran Jones and his wife Cristina are still living in LA where Ran continues to work for All3Media as a casting coordinator for Undercover Boss, The Pitch, Supermarket Superstar and various other projects. They are enjoying life in LA and actually live just a couple blocks from Justin Campbell and his family. Margot Fried Hogan recently launched MFH Marketing LLC, and she is also working for the Houston Chronicle Style section as their Style Specialist. She enjoyed being part of the KYPO group this year and also stays actively involved in The Children’s Fund. She and her husband Brett Hogan ’93 are excited to announce they will be welcoming their second child to their family on Halloween. Big brother Henry just turned two! Laura Kamas is still enjoying working in the marketing division for Pappas Restaurants, and she has now been back in Houston for almost three years. Laura got engaged to Erik Wheeler during a trip to San Miguel de Allende this past February and is excited about their upcoming wedding, set to take place in Houston in February of 2014. Steven Kaplan is doing well and entering his seventh year as an in house corporate attorney for Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. in Houston, TX. Steven recently got engaged to Erin Finger who is a member of Kinkaid’s Class of 2004. Yoav Kaufman is busy working through his residency and excited to see a light at the end of the tunnel. He and his wife welcomed their first
