currently the Upper School Dean of Students at the Emery/Weiner School in Houston, Texas. She recently got married in October 2011 to Steven Bender. Claudia Bianchi lives in Dallas, Texas where she works at BNP Paribas as an associate lending to commercial clients. She is engaged and her wedding is scheduled for May 26, 2012. Claudia and her fiancé hope to get back into polo after the wedding. Ariana Nizza Chapman lives in Houston, Texas with her husband, Dan. She works at NRG Reliant Energy as a Risk Analyst in the Retail Portfolio Valuation Group. Ariana enjoys taking language classes, playing with her band TenPrettyGirls and volunteering at the Houston Zoo and the Wildlife Center of Texas. Alicia Cho has been living in Los Angeles for 6 years and still enjoys the sun! She recently worked as an Assistant Director for a movie directed by Oliver Stone entitled Savage, which will be released July 6th. Andrea Cowsert graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from American University in May and will begin work as an Associate Consultant at Academic Search, Inc in June. Andrea recently got engaged and plans to marry in the Washington, D.C. area where her and her fiancé plan to stay for the immediate future. Chelsea Cunningham is working at Chandos Interiors in Houston, Texas. David Dunwoody and his wife Mariann live in Braes Heights in Houston, Texas and have a 17-month-old son named David. David works for Apache Corporation and will graduate from UT Business School this summer. Angele Dupre lives in Aspen, Colorado where for the past year she has enjoyed being the Dining Room Manager at Jimmy’s. Angele tore her ACL skiing last season so her summer will be dedicated to physical therapy in hopes her knee will be healed for mountain biking and skiing this fall! Lauren Escher is still living and working in London. Linda Gardner is living in sunny San Diego and is the Talent Acquisition Manager for a technology company that hosts a restaurant rewards and loyalty program called MOGL. Linda volunteers for the French Bulldog Rescue Network and is their Home Visit Coordinator for the West region. Paige Garrison will finish her first year of Pediatric Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in June. Paige recently got engaged and her wedding is
scheduled for March 2013. Casey Williams Hedges is a social worker at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Labor & Delivery unit. She recently obtained her license in Clinical Social Work. Kathleen Hinton lives in St. Paul, Minnesota where she is a counselor for a company called Mental Health Systems, PC. She provides individual therapy and facilitates groups using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She absolutely loves her work and works with a variety of client populations; adults, adolescents, individuals with co-occurring disorders (mental health and chemical dependency) and adults with developmental disabilities. Isla McConn Jornayvaz and her husband Joseph had a baby boy, Joseph Paul Jornayvaz Jr. on April 16. Corinne Kendall will finish her PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University in June and will start as a Lecturer at Columbia University in July. She has spent the last four years studying vultures in Kenya and hopes to find new ways to expand her work to other parts of Africa and for conservation education. Corinne will marry her college sweetheart at the Bronx Zoo in September. Leslie (Roemer) and Lawrence Labanowski are living in Houston with their miniature zoo consisting of a fish (won from Kinkaid Field Day), cat, chinchilla and 150-lb Great Pyrenees. Lawrence is still in Investment Banking and Leslie is at Kinkaid. They are expecting their first child, a little girl, in early August. Taylor Leachman is in his second year pursuing his Master’s Degree in Divinity at Redeemer Seminary in Austin, Texas. He works as the Campus Director for the seminary and is the Head Lacrosse Coach at Regents School of Austin. Taylor and his wife are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary this summer and have a six-monthold baby named Emilia Grace Leachman. Michelle Vosko Levin graduated from Columbia Business School May 13, 2012 and will start her own business, Chez Tates, a pet products company that will sell luxury pet feeders. Michelle and her husband had a baby boy on May 3 named William Stephen Levin (six lbs two oz) just in time for Mothers’ Day! ALUMNI REUNION WEEKEND 2013 On April 19-20, 2013 Kinkaid will welcome reunion classes back to campus for a a weekend of exciting events! The classes of 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998 and 2003 will be invited to a Friday night Reunion Kick-Off Party and Distinguished Awards Program and Reception, a Saturday Faculty and Family Picnic, and of course, individual class parties on Saturday evening.
