Luctonians Sports Club. The Archery section is under way. This is another great pastime which can be very competitive. People are welcome to join – they meet on Sunday afternoons. Come and find out more and ‘draw the bent stick’. A detailed match programme was produced for the home 1st XV fixture with Sale on February 6th. The opposition arrived in a large, smart coach, but on inspecting the pitch declined to play. Luctonians were prepared to, but the away side’s decision stood. However a complete sell-out of tables for the pre-match lunch, combined with some extended speeches and televised Six-Nation Internationals in a warm, dry clubhouse aided bar takings. The new Cricket changing rooms building is well on, with a great bunch of volunteers responsible. Warm sunny days ahead – come and try the showers! R.W.H.
