Visitor Information

On arrival at King’s Ely, coaches should park, and players disembark, on Barton Square. There is ample space on the left hand side of the road just past The Porta Arch. The what3words location is Latched. Overture. Oath.

It is only a short walk from here to the sports facilities.

We ask that visiting spectators park in the public Barton Road car park which is walking distance to the pitches and courts. Please try to avoid bringing your car onto the Barton Road site as unfortunately the driveway becomes congested at pick up time for King’s Ely Junior.

Refreshments will be available for all visitors in the Monastic Barn after matches alongside the players’ teas. Some matches will also have our pitch side King’s Ely tuck truck that will be serving teas and coffees free of charge. For some fixtures, at request, we do provide a packed tea.

All medical care on match days will be covered through the King’s Ely Medical Centre, where nurses will be on call in the event of an injury. The majority of fixtures will be covered by external St John’s Ambulance staff that are employed externally. All King’s Ely sports staff are first aid trained.

In Ely, there is a Minor Injuries Clinic at the Princess of Wales Hospital (CB6 1DN) which is approximately five minutes away by car. In the event of a more serious injury, the player concerned will be taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge (CB2 0QQ) which is approximately 30 minutes’ drive.

Parents and pupils can find out the latest information about fixtures on the home page of the school website at www.kingsely.org where there is a Sports Portal link (SOCS). Latest results can also be found via SOCS.
