January 2023 CHESS COMPETITION

This year, Kings' School Dubai has hosted three rounds of Chess Tournaments for phases 2, 3 and 4 in the autumn, spring and summer terms with the support of the brilliant team at Chess Knowledge. It has been wonderful post Covid to be see children back playing with real chessboards once again.

The Chess Tournaments have given the opportunity for children to play competitively each term, culminating in an overall champion per phase for the academic year 2022-23. This has been a great way for children to utilise their skills learnt from weekly chess clubs held both internally and externally this year.

Our Kings' chess players have demonstrated great skill and sportsmanship this year. Our overall phase trophy winners for this academic year are proud to have their names etched into the Kings' Chess Tournament Plaque proudly displayed in our Balmoral Reception.
