OVERVIEW OF COURSES As the first professional nursing and midwifery school in the world, the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care is proud of its history and traditions, but no world-class school can afford to rest on its laurels. Continually striving for teaching and research excellence, the faculty aims to contribute to the evidence base of professional nursing, midwifery and palliative care practice and policy, and is proud to be home to the Cicely Saunders Institute. Strong postgraduate programmes meet the needs of a wide range of healthcare professionals seeking continuing professional development and access to an unrivalled range of hospitals, specialist units and learning resources. King’s close relationship with King’s Health Partners – including the Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital, and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trusts – helps provide students with the full range of medical and healthcare services, from acute and specialist medical care to mental health care.
