If you require a student visa to study in the UK you must have sufficient funds to cover both fees and maintenance (for yourself and any dependents in the UK). UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires you to demonstrate that you have access to a minimum amount of money to cover living costs. The amount changes regularly so always check the UKVI website for the most up-to-date information. If you have dependents you will have to show more funds are available. We would also recommend that you have access to more funds than this in order to cover all costs and any emergencies that may arise. More information is available from the King’s Student Advice Service. kcl.ac.uk/advice
How to pay: instalments and deposits Fees are payable in two equal instalments on 31 October and 31 January or 14 days from the date of the invoice if later. Some courses have a fee deposit scheme. When you are offered a place, you are advised whether or not a deposit is required (usually 10 per cent of the fee).
