The hosting settings on your workstation must be examined, and any necessary modifications must be made. Multi-user mode may experience difficulties due to hosting settings on one of your workstations. The following methods can be used to check and modify hosting settings:-

• Start the QuickBooks desktop application on each computer that is a workstation, go to the menu, and then choose File.

• Examine the Host Multi-User Access checkbox now to determine if it is selected or not. The Stop hosting multi-user access option must be chosen if the checkbox is enabled in order to turn off the hosting settings.

• Check that the multi-user mode is now working as intended after inspecting the hosting configurations on each workstation and configuring them to no longer host multi-user access.

Use the QuickBooks File Doctor tool to review your company files, and then take the following actions to make any necessary corrections:-

• Visit the QuickBooks Tool Hub download page on the Intuit website using the computer serving as your server.

• Install QuickBooksToolHub.exe once it has been downloaded, then keep it somewhere accessible.

• When it’s ready to go, run the file doctor by going to the Company File Issues section of the QuickBooks tool hub.

• Once the utility has done functioning, verify that you can now enter multi-user mode.
