The Original Sin The Fall and Redemption of Man
Questions, questions Why did the Lord Jesus, our Redeemer have to be born of a virgin? What required His Blood to be shed for the atonement of our sins? What was the original sin? Did Adam and Eve eat an apple? Why was Cain’s sacrifice rejected? Why are there good and evil people? Why don’t all men respond to the Gospel the same way?
Three trees Gen. 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow [1 ] every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; [2] the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and [3] the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
The Tree of Life JOHN 15:1 “I am the true vine . . .� JOHN 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. I JOHN 5:11,12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
The Tree of Knowledge HEBREWS 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
The Tree of Knowledge JAMES 3:13-15 13 Who [is] a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but [is] earthly, sensual, devilish. The Tree of Knowledge EZEKIEL 28:13-15 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Partaking of the tree If the two trees, were indeed persons who were present in the garden, they must have spiritual “fruits” and “partaking of the fruit” must also mean something different from literally eating a fruit.
“Eating� in a spiritual sense Prov. 20:30 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness. Mat. 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
“Eating” in a spiritual sense Man is to live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Satan is the tree of knowledge and his fruit is his word. Jesus Christ is the Tree of Life, and His Words are the fruit that we eat to have Eternal Life. Satan’s word is a lie and if eaten (believed) will result in spiritual death. God’s Word is truth and if believed will result in having Eternal Life.
The Serpent GENESIS 3:1,14 1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: The serpent was classified in the Scriptures as a beast. He was the most beautiful of all the beasts. It was a beast that was above all cattle, closest to man in stature and in intelligence
The Serpent GENESIS 1:26,28 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. He was an upright creature which together with all animals was subject to Adam’s rule
The Serpent The serpent was the “missing link” between man and beast that scientists today who pursue Darwin’s theory of evolution, keep on searching for up to now. They will never find it as it has already been cursed by God in the garden and is now crawling “with thy belly” and moves so close to the ground so as to appear eating dust all the time.
The Serpent Now the serpent has become the symbol of evil, deception and death. Rev. 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Eve, mother of all living. GENESIS 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Q:Why was Eve called in the Bible, “the mother
of all living,” and Adam was not called, “the father of all living”? A: Because all men were born by Eve but not all men are fathered by Adam who was a son of God. Abel and Seth were clearly Adam’s sons. Cain was clearly the seed of the serpent. Cain can’t be found in Adam’s lineage (Gen. 5).
Cain was the child of the devil I JOHN 3:10-12 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
No wonder his sacrifice was rejected GENESIS 4:5 5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. GENESIS 4:7 7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Adam was a son of God. LUKE 3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was [the son] of Adam, which was the son of God. He could not be the “wicked one” spoken of in 1 John 3:12
Sex is a perverted process of human reproduction Multipication by sex was never in the plan of God. When God told man to “multiply and replenish the earth”, He was not thinking of the animalistic act of copulation as we know now. It came by God’s permissive will
Sex was not in the picture The first human being, Adam was created by spoken word. The second human being, Eve was taken from Adam’s side. When Jesus was born, He bypassed the sexual process. MATTHEW 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
MATTHEW 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Sexual birth is connected with sin and sorrow A man born of a woman is full of sorrows (Job 14:1). David said he was conceived in sin. PSALMS 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Was David a bastard? No, but he was conceived when his parents engaged in carnal act (sex), a perverted way of bringing forth children upon the earth.
THE ORIGINAL SIN WAS IT REALLY AN APPLE?
What we were told:
Sex, later permitted by God HEBREWS 13:4 Marriage [is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. It should be performed by legitimately married couples in the spirit of love and procreation. GALATIANS 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication... GALATIANS 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy‌
Carnality Fleshly, carnal, promiscuous, animal nature of man came from this perverted act. ROMANS 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace. ROMANS 7:23-25 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Hybriding, forbidden GENESIS 1:11,21 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. LEVITICUS 19:19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
Bestiality LEVITICUS 18:23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
The curse of sin and its effect EXODUS 21:24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot . . . Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee .
Covering of body parts GENESIS 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
It was a blood sin The original sin caused the degradation of human life ROMANS 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: LEVITICUS 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
It was a blood sin There are different forms of life on earth, the highest of which is Man. God created man according to His image. Animals were simply spoken to existence. Animals don’t have a soul. When animal life was intermingled into mankind through the introduction of the sexual copulation by the serpent to man, man’s life was degraded. It was no longer supreme and pure. It has been marred. It required a blood sacrifice.
The Blood Sacrifice The pure, supreme, holy, perfect Life of God which was in the Blood of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, the perfect, sinless Son of God was needed to cleanse human life of all sin and carnality through the sacrifice at the cross. Holy Blood spilt on Calvary. It was sufficient to take away the sin of the world.
The Blood Sacrifice MATTHEW 26:28 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. EPHESIANS 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
The Blood Sacrifice ROMANS 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. I JOHN 1:7 . . . the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. REVELATION 5:9 …for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood …
God’s provided way GENESIS 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. HEBREWS 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Cain and Abel were fraternal twins. GENESIS 4:1,2 1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. 2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. GENESIS 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
Superfecundation Twins can have different fathers. One wellknown case was described in 1810 in the United States. A woman had both a white and a black lover, and she became pregnant and gave birth to twins, one white and the other mulatto. Each twin had a different father. This is called superfecundation. It happens when the mother ovulates more than one egg and has more than one partner during her fertile period. One egg is fertilized with sperm from one partner, and the other egg from sperm of the second partner. These types of twins are always fraternal or dizygotic.

St. Paul was aware of what happened in Eden II Cor. 11:2-14 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you asb a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him].
Intermingling of seeds. Gen 6:1-4 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. ACTS 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.
Identification of God’s children MATTHEW 7:16-20 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
How do you respond to God’s Word? JOHN 8:47 47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
Ye must be born again JOHN 3:6,7 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Born by the Word I PETER 1:23-25 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
