Berry Foraging and Traditional Jam Making with Ed Hick We are delighted to exclusively offer Killruddery and Slow Food Members the extraordinary opportunity to join Slow Food Guru, Ed Hick on a jam making expedition. Ed Hick will lead a small group of 30 people on a walk to find, identify and pick a range of wild berries on the Killruddery Estate. Blackberries, Rowan berries, rose-hip, elder, haw and many more are known to grow on the Estate. After the walk, on which everyone will pick their own berries, the group will be invited to the Stable Studio for a demonstration in traditional jam making. In the studio, everyone will contribute a portion 56

of their berry collection to the big jam making pot! Ed will then demonstrate over an hour and a half how jam is made. Once poured and set, a pot of jam with a commemorative label will be given to each of the attendees. Registration is €10 per person and spaces are limited. Don't forget a vessel in which to keep your berries. Price: €10 per person Bookings: Members of Killruddery and Slow Food only Book at www.killruddery.com
