Killarney Riding Stables offers riders the opportunity to experience the beauty of Killarney National Park and the famous Ring of Kerry. Riders can spend one, two or three hours - or even two or five days with them on guided trail rides. Killarney National Park was established in Ireland in 1932.
With 25,500 acres, there’s plenty to explore including the Lakes of Killarney, ancient Oak and Yew Woodlands of international importance and many mountain peaks such as Carrauntoohil, the highest mountain in Ireland, along with the only native herd of Red deer, and the most extensive covering of native forest remaining in Ireland.
Killarney Riding Stables welcomes families of every size from little to large, and all level of riders from first timers to experienced. Helmets and boots are provided at no extra cost. Private tours and out of schedule time tours can be arranged at an extra cost. Killarney Riding Stable staff and horses look forward to welcoming you and your family.
Times gone by at The Kerry Creamery Experience
One of Kerry's newest attractions is based on the site of Listry Creamery (V93 RR84). The Kerry Creamery Experience is a place where you can step back in time and discover how creameries all over Ireland operated. Relive the memories and see the ingenious systems that were used before modern technology took over. The Garland family would like to welcome you to what is a unique attraction and the first and only creamery experience in Ireland – it is only 15 minutes’ drive from Killarney. With a farm-themed playground and Tea Room serving freshly ground coffee and tea along with homemade delights, The Kerry Creamery Experience offers a safe, family-friendly, fun and educational visit. watch a short video of local people telling their memories of going to the Creamery and see how milking techniques have advanced through the years.
