THERE was a changing of the guard at the Kerry Skål International organisation in Killarney at the weekend, with incoming president Sheila Casey accepting the chain of office from her predecessor Brian Bowler. Along with the chairman of the Kerry branch of the Irish Hotels Federation, Terence Mulcahy, Sheila made a special presentation to Brian and his wife Michelle Bowler at the annual Skål dinner in The Brehon Hotel, Killarney. His colleagues also wished Brian well as he departs from his role as general manager of The Brehon to become general manager of The Montenotte Hotel in Cork. “We wish Brian the best of luck in
his new position. He is a highly motivated and dedicated hotelier. Brian began his career as a trainee manager at The Gleneagle so we are very proud of his career progression and his very successful time in The Brehon,” said Patrick O’Donoghue, managing director, The Gleneagle Group.
