WE JUST couldn’t resist sharing this glimpse of the panoramic view enjoyed by Killarney newlyweds Joanne Murphy and Pat Sheehan on their big day. When he first met Joanne, Pat promised he would bring her up Mangerton Mountain. Little did she

know that he would be delivering on his promise, in unique fashion, on their wedding day. Pat organised a surprise helicopter trip to whisk his bride to the summit of the landmark Killarney peak after they exchanged wedding vows in Barradubh Church on Friday. The

couple thanked Dermot Healy for facilitating the helicopter trip and photographer Pauline Dennigan who captured the moment they arrived at the summit, as well as the rest of their wedding celebrations, on camera. After they landed, the happy

couple were still walking on air as they re-joined their guests for the reception, at the Killarney Oaks Hotel. Pat, from Crosstown, Glenflesk, and Joanne, from Barradubh, were wed in a ceremony led by Fr Bill Radley.
