MILLTOWN: The southern section of the competition was held in Nagle Rice Community Centre in Milltown. The morning group included six teams Beaufort, Fossa, Kenmare, Killarney South, Rathmore/Gneeveguilla and Spa/ Fenit/Barrow. This section was divided into two groups of three with Beaufort and Kenmare emerging victorious from each of their groups. They then played each other to decide who would qualify from the morning session and this turned out to be a very exciting and tense game. They drew 2-2 after full time and this was still the case after extra time. It then went to penalties and Beaufort came out on top. It was hard luck on Kenmare. In the afternoon session, there were five teams competing - An Gaeltacht, Annascaul/Camp/Inch, Milltown/Listry, Spa Muckross and Valentia. This section was played on a found robin basis with all teams playing each other. It looked like Milltown/Listry were in pole position after winning their first two games but they were beaten in their next game by An Gaeltacht which turned out to be the crucial game. An Gaeltacht improved with each game, drawing their first and then winning their remaining three games, UNDER 13 BOYS INDOOR SOCCER FINALS: Check-in at 9.30 am sharp at Milltown.
