Wedding bells for Regina and Adrian BY EVE KELLIHER
T
HE shores of Lough Leane provided the perfect backdrop to wedding pictures in Regina Heffernan and Adrian Cronin’s wedding album. Regina, from Callinafercy, Milltown, and Adrian, from Kilgobnet, exchanged vows recently in the Church of the Sacred Heart in Milltown in a Mass led by Rev Kevin Sullivan. The newlyweds posed for the camera of Tara Donoghue Photography at scenic Killarney Golf & Fishing Club en route to their reception, at the Killarney Oaks Hotel, where Billy O’Connor and his team pulled out all the stops to ensure a lavish celebration. Helping the newlyweds lead the revelry were both sets of parents, Josephine and Michael Heffernan and Josephine and Dermot Cronin. Regina and Adrian’s paths first crossed many years ago in Killorglin and they got engaged last Christmas. Regina’s sisters Andrea and Verona were bridesmaids while Adrian’s brother Cathal was best man with his friend Francis Russell as groomsman.

Mother-of-the-bride Josephine baked the delicious wedding cake. The bridal hairstyling was by Marion's Hair Studio in Milltown, with makeup was by Marilyn McSweeney, Killarney. All the flower arrangements were by Blossoms Flowers, Killorglin. The church music was by Finbarr Coffey and Jack Healy and pianist JP Murphy entertained guests at the drinks reception while the band Katsquire ensured the dance floor remained full throughout the evening. “Adrian has a great interest in and love for music so he booked all the music for our wedding,” said the bride. The newlyweds enjoyed a mini-moon in Ireland and are currently planning a honeymoon abroad in the New Year. “We had the best day ever, we loved being surrounded by family and friends from home and abroad,” said Regina.
