Magical day as Don and Pascal tie the knot

ONSIDERING his status as a world-renowned fashion designer it is no surprise that Don O’Neill, together with his fiancé Pascal Guillermie, designed their wedding outfits. The couple wore chic bluegrey suits with embroidery of seahorses and Celtic motifs when they exchanged vows in front of Ballyheigue Castle, in Don’s native Kerry. Don and Pascal, a florist, were congratulated by their family and wide circle of friends, including famous faces from the worlds of entertainment, art and fashion. Known as “the Don of Irish fashion”, the New York-based designer began is creative director of celebrities’ favourite label Theia. Pascal Guillermie, from Paris, runs Fleur de Pascal in New York. The reception was held at Ballyheigue golf club in a marquee overlooking the sea. The 200 guests included RTÉ presenter Mary Kennedy, close

friend, stylist and event organiser Orla Diffily, Kerry hoteliers Marie and Pat Chawke, bestselling author Lorna Byrne, Grainne and Sile Seoige, and singer and senator Frances Black and her daughter Aoife Scott (both of whom sang during the celebration). Another mother-and-daughter duo at the wedding were artist Pauline Bewick and Poppy Melia. Miami-based photographer Sonya Revell captured the big day on camera. “Love was the big story on the magical day as we celebrated 23 years of loving each other and that was multiplied a thousand-fold by the love that friends and family poured out upon us all weekend!” said Don.
