CROSSING off that shopping list before the festive season will be easy, fun and, importantly, value for money this year thanks to Daly’s SuperValu. Remember the fun evening out presented by Daly’s Food Fair last year? Well, this year promises all that and more! The Killarney supermarket offers a dazzling range of fantastic festive buys and you will get a unique chance to check these out next Wednesday, November 9, as it hosts its annual Christmas Food Fair. The event, which takes place between 6pm and 8.30pm, is an absolute must-visit and promises fun for all the family. Anyone with a passion for gourmet food of all kinds should take note that this food fair offers enticing food and wine-tasting opportunities. The food fair is also an extremely tempting one in terms of money-saving opportunities, with a whole host of exciting special offers available. However Daly’s SuperValu respectfully requests that all children be accompanied by an adult on the night.
SCRATCH BAKERY OFFERS RECIPE FOR SUCCESS THE tantalising aroma of fresh bread has been delighting shoppers since Daly’s SuperValu added its own scratch bakery in 2013. The team of bakers create all the Daly’s homemade breads from scratch, from large white pans to Vienna loaves, brown sodas, scones, fresh rolls and such specialist breads as honey and spelt and multi-seed loaves. Fresh cream cakes, all made inhouse from scratch, such as jam and cream sponges, banoffee pies, fresh fruit flans and fresh
fruit pavlovas are available fresh seven days a week. “We also now take orders for birthday cakes and Christmas cakes,” said Denis Tucker, duty manager. “You can have them personalised with photos and messages.” Shoppers can pick up their fresh bread, made inhouse every day, and team members will be on hand during the food fair to advise you on the perfect choices to complement your Christmas menu.
A FESTIVE FEAST IF YOU harbour ambitions of serving a truly enticing Christmas dinner this year, Daly’s SuperValu’s chef Ben Soulmani will be on hand on the night to give excellent tips to those who are faced with the task of cooking the perfect festive feast. In addition, there will be over 40 demonstration stands on the night. “Ben will be offering all the solutions to your meal requirements, from turkey and ham preparation to fish dishes,” said PJ McGee, store manager, Daly’s SuperValu.
