The Newbery Award winner is best known for books such as Because of Winn Dixie and The Tale of Despereaux, which were both made into movies. Her new book, another young-adult read, follows the magical journey of 10-year-old orphan Peter Augustus Duchene, whose fate is tied to an elephant that has fallen from the sky.
