HUIZE BEURD

We are Huize Beurd, located in the middle of the city centre at Oude Markt 3B, above the Humphreys. We are a group of six male students who strive to get the most out of their student life. One of the highlights of our week is Wednesday evening. This is when we have our so called house evening which we fill with numerous different activities. These can range from going glowgolfing, drinking beers at our own bar, to ending up in ‘t Gat, to simply watching a movie during busy exam periods. We love extensive cooking, which we do together such that the ‘less capable’ cooks can learn from the rest. It is a lot of fun and simply delicious.

Living together during your student life leaves a lifelong bond between roommates. This bond is enhanced by our yearly grand Christmas dinner. This is an evening when all former roommates, even the founders, show up to enjoy the exotic five course dinner and to feel like a student once again. As said, we strive to get the most out of our student lives. Besides our studies, we are active in different student boards and committees, sports associations and social associations across the beautiful city of Enschede.

Yearly, we organize our very own exclusive summer festival on our roof terrace. A party where Grolsch flows lavishly. We haul out our festival grade speakers, lights and laser outside to raise the roof for a night. There is always something happening at Huize Beurd. Don’t hesitate to grab a drink with us when you spot us, we are always open to chat up.
