Narrative (What Happens)
This is the opening shot, there isn’t really a narrative behind it, it just shows a box of PG Tips.
This will show a guy getting out of bed, being quite lazy. He’s about to start his day but he’s already woke up late. During the edit phase, we will duplicate this clip and put it side by side (the whole advert is based on side by side shots. He puts the kettle on and makes a cup of tea, when drinking the tea he sparks in to action and looks more energised.

Rock music that starts off slow then increases in tempo. High angle shot This will be the soundtrack that plays throughout the entire advert.
Medium close up shot
Close up shot On the other side, the guy doesn’t make a cup of tea, and continues to look sluggish as he leaves for college. This will show the guy leaving his house to get to college, he has just 5 minutes, to show this we should include a shot of the guy looking down at his phone, it shows he has just 10 minutes so he quickly speeds up. On the other side, the guy looks down at his phone and realises he has 5 minutes but that doesn’t have any impact on his speed, he just moans a bit. This is a shot of him arriving at college, he arrived with 2 minutes to spare (again, we should include the match on action shot of his phone). The other side, arrived 5 minutes late.

This will be during the day now, as he is handed a lot of work to do, he goes through it but in the editing stage we should speed it up.

On the other side, we should include a quick shot of the guy saying “where do I even start?” After finishing the day at college, his mates ask him if he wants to go for a kickabout, by doing so a ball is chucked at him, in one of the sides the guy reacts well to Two shot this and he catches the ball then says yes, in the other he’s completely unaware and just lets the ball hit him. This will be him walking in to his house again. On one side he will get home to look at the PG tips box on the side with a smile on a Match on face to imply that’s what got him action shot. through the day. On the other side, he will get home to a really messy kitchen and has to tidy it up.
