It helps them in improving their productions. Maniwood is one of the fastest growing film industries in the North East India. MFR will be the cement for a firm foundation of Maniwood. IS BALA THE MOST POPULAR STAR?? Observing the recent trends, we can see a lot movies starring Bala. Even in this little magazine, all the films listed here ,except for one or two, are featuring Bala. There is two possible explaination for this. Viewers like Bala so much or the film makers are obssessed with Bala. Oh! one second thought, the third reason is the absense of worthy competitor. Thabaton 2 is all about Bala. It shows how she comes into Tayaima’s life and mend the bones. In Sanagee Tangbal, it is Bala who sits on the throne built through the pit’s foundation of poverty ;) . Amukta Ani tries to show the dutiful Bala with a big heart, big enough to sacrifice her love :-* . Again, Sorinchon of Da Lem ( Amei Lem) is also dutiful and devoting to studies. However, Nungshit Mapi presents a different side of Bala. Bala is working hard to be the center of attraction in in this upcoming movie. Thambal (Bala) is a married woman struggling for her womanhood. By womanhood, I mean the entitlements or rights for a woman. The point is that all these movies are all about Bala.So, is it okay for me to call her Maniwood Star? Obviously, there is supposed to be star. Am I right? Are we going to wait for someone or will you agree with me? Yes, you are right. There are many actors who are not less than Bala in acting and all. But scores matter here. Calculating the scores, we can not see anyone who can pass Bala for now. Therefore, let’s contend ourselves by accepting Bala as the Maniwood Star. Wait .. wait. I am not finished. SYNOPSIS: An orphan boy (10 yrs. old) who’s adopted by one couple during an accident, the boy was lived with that couple and they have 7 yrs. old daughter, they lived in happy family with a full of happiness. One day, they’ve going to sendra to enjoy a picnic party. At night, while driving they are stopped by a teenager, who shoots the parents for money demand, then the boy lunges after the teen managing to take the teen’s gun. Nearby witnesses see the boy with a gun and the girl’s parents. In this incident, the girls are playing mobile game inside the car. The people’s and the girl also thinks that it was the boy who killed her parents and starts to hate him and thinks that she will never see him again. The boy implicated in the murder and sent to jail for 10 years. 10 years later, the boy gets out of jail, and is now in search of the teen who has killed the girl’s parents.
DESCRIPTION: “SINHEIBA” a Manipuri feature film is an upcoming 2015 Action ,Crime, Romantic, Suspense thriller film Starring Avi Khundrakpam and Thadoi Khumanthem, Directed by Prem Sharma and Produced by Ibochouba Khundrakpam under the banner of Maichou Taret Films 1st Production. The story and the song lyrics of this film was written and Assist. Directed by ALekkx YM. The SINHEIBA movie is also known as ‘ONE MAN’S DESIRE FOR PEACE LEADS TO THE BATTLE FOR VENGEANCE’ There is a love story into the story. It is essentially a revenge drama and the action scenes are the main highlight of the film.
Thabaton 2, a sequel of Thabaton, as directed by Bijgupta Laishram is a romantic drama with Gokul , Bala and Sushmita in the lead roles. In this movie, Bala takes a very intriguing role. As always she is the centre of attraction in this film. She has displayed wonderful acting on her part. Her role as a girl with humble backgrounds can be appreciated. In the end, she becomes the reason for mending the family ties. All in all, she had showed us very strong character which carries the heart of the movie. the kind of movie Bala fans would love to watch. Then, the chemistry that she had shared with Kaiku is also good to watch. Kaiku , who was also in the prequel, has evolved from being a broken hearted man to someone who was ready for love. Crazy incidents follows as he follows his heart. He had to eat hot singju and bear embarrassment in front of her mother in law to be. One cannot help but laugh till he cries when these scenes occur in the film. The after-marriage romance between Bala and Kaiku is good to watch. I am sure young people would find it happy to witness the acts of romance. Also, one cannot undermine the role of Bala’s mother. We all had a good laugh while watching the mother daughter duo. There is a scene in the movie when the mother was kidnapped in lieu of the daughter. Logic does not fit when we see the movie though one cannot ignore its comic timing. The mother is very candid. However the fact that she suggested people to kidnap her own daughter and the way how she becomes greedy over money when she was kidnapped seems irrational. Then, here and there, the romance between Gokul and Sushmita is shown. I must say both of them had shown greater chemistry than Bala and Kaiku. People who were fans of Thabaton would love to see them together in the sequel. Even their child has grown into a school going kid. But, there were many scenes in the movie which seem to be out of place and over the top. Gokul talked of a party as a result of which he was teaching his wife to dance but the party was never shown in the movie. It would take you too long and make you bored after some time as the story becomes repetitive. The movie could have ended on a happy note with Bala reconciling Kaiku and his parents. But, it stretched over with a court-case over the possession of Sushmita’s daughter whose biological father was Kaiku. This time too, Kaiku had to be the saviour and gives back the child to her mother. You will surely be reminded of an old 80s hindi film.In the end, Bala makes Kaiku to reconcile with his lost family. Although an average movie, the team had made some effort to produce a blockbuster of the maniwood industry. I would rate 3 stars for the movie. Watch this movie to have a good laugh where logic is a myth in Manipuri films.
AMUKTA ANI
The movie is about a boy trying to earn a girl’s love at all cost. Roshan is a spoilt child. Both Roshan and Bala are studying in the same school. Mangal (Roshan) meets Thoibi ( Bala ) while he is fighting with the gatekeeper. Since then he follows her everywhere and keeps stalking her. He even follows her to Delhi. Here I am going to talk about my favorite scenes, characters and I’ll rate it. My favorite scene is when Langlen (Susmita) meets Thoibi. She is testing Thoibi’s love for Mangal. Thoibi takes all responsibilities of misdoings and misunderstandings in the love triangle. It hurts Langlen more. She cannot even control herself that she cries out loud. “Mathangi mapok mapokta Langlen gumbi oina pokchage haina khallido lalle Thoibi. Karigi ngna eigee mapokpu kalaklibano Thoibi?” I am not in a position to judge this movie. But I licence myself the liberty to do so. So, if I am asked to point out a least favorite scene in this movie, I will definitely choose the last scene. Yes, I agree that Love is blind. But they can’t be blind enough to take such illogical decision. Who won’t notice a bride and a groom sneaking out in a car in the dead of their wedding night from their own house? Their parents will never allow it. So, the last scene is illogical. I also want to ask Langlen the same question Thoibi asks. Why is she marrying Mangal if she is going to sacrifice him? My favorite characters are all the supporting actors. Yes, of course I like the aggresiveness in Langlen too. I like Laisana who tries constantly to add some flavor to the love story of Mangal and Thoibi. But one word of criticism, the character tends to go ahead of Ethoi. She needs to work hard on conciliation and personification. But I will say it is acceptable since she is new . All the characters are presented in an extreme way. It is nice when it comes to Shumang Leela. But it is difficult presenting extreme characters in a movie. The movie begins to fall when it comes to climax. I think it is because of the extreme characters. I will rate it FIVE out of ten (5/10). It will be a great movie for those who feel rejected by their love ones.
RUMAN A hard working student finds himself in the turmoil when he falls in love with a girl crazy enough to take his father-in-law’s words and declare that she was kidnapped. All ends well when Aheiba’s father takes all the risk to reconciliate Arun (Aheiba) and Soniya. Forgive me to say this but the hero and the heroine of Maniwood movies tends to meet by accident or in an accident. Arun met Soniya in an accident. Since then he involves himself in her love. I mean he fall for her. “Kanana khangba IAS amaga Doctor amaga punna leiminakhibasu” Arun is an IAS aspirant who has cleared Prelims and appearing Mains examination. But it is going to be compromised when he falls in love. His father was suspecting all this. Above all this, he elopes with Soniya by accident. It breaks his fathers hope as well as heart. He convinces Soniya to say that she was kidnapped (eloped without her consent). It angers Arun so much. However, with proper guidance of his father, he cleared UPSC and becomes an IAS officer. Now, let’s discuss some scenes and characters. Otherwise, I am going to narrate the whole story. See everything yourself. Both my favorite and disliked scenes are in the climax of this movie. The film makers successfully present the movie in a way that everyone has no idea why Soniya said that she was kidnapped. It reveals when Arun manages to rejects her for regularization of her employement. I don’t like the scene when Aheiba’s father pretends to have a BP stroke. Because it turns out to be so illogical. It makes us think if the doctors in Manipur does not know anything about BP strokes. Do you really think that doctors will not know if you pretend to have so? Are they really reckless enough to provide medication without any diagnosis. I really enjoy and laugh a lot at the scenes of Ratan Lai. He is a caring and protective brother. “Eidi nangse yamnabu nungairiye. Ah moigi doctor haibra keino tamusochana chatkhraga, driver romda oina onsilleye. Fanabu nungairye eidi. D nabu houradi loina yare sinine nang khallise.” I aslo like the couple of Happy Rajen and Aheiba’s sister. He is very possessive not only when it comes to his wife but also in matters of money :D . I rate this movie 6 out of 10 (6/10) . IAS and doctor aspirants, enjoy this movie. Don’t foget to bring your bf or gf along when you come to watch this movie :) .
SANAGEE TANGBAL Bala takes the character of Lingjenthoibi who reaffirms that the beautiful and breathtaking lotus blooms in lakes and pits. She is hard working even though she has been brought up in a well-to-do family. She does not fall for luxury and yet she is a devoted wife too. Her life takes a sharp turn when shew as kidnapped by Gokul. Inspite of Gokul’s irrational actions, she feels sympathy for his family. She stands for them. Otherwise, her brothers may have killed Gokul. She begins to live in Gokul’s poor family. She is allowed to continue her study. All the members of the family work hard to support the family and her study. It is really lovely and touching. My favorite scenes is the hearing of both the families in the police station after Lingjenthoibi was being kidnapped. Gokul’s family thinks that they are going to face the wrath of Bala’s family. But it turns out that everything is alright. It is only because of Lingjenthoibi’s courageous and lovely stand for Gokul. I really dislike the scene when Gokul kidnaps Bala only to clarify his love for her. That is really irrational. Again, it resembles the pattern of Bijgupta’s another movie - LUHONGBAGI AHING. We like new tastes and don’t like copy cats. At some point, Gokul’s character is really frustrating. He acts recklessly without thinking much and realizing who he really is and what he is upto. Again he is very possessive too. But it is kinda sweet. He is really a lucky guy. I envy him :P. Bala is centre of this story. Her character and presentation is really nice. However, it comes to personify an officer. She needs to work out a bit more. It tries to show how Lingjenthoibi’s family falls because of her brothers’ unfair means of livelihood. They are doing business of all kind which are popular from time to time. It includes drug and animal trafficking. All her brothers presents their role very nicely. I will rate this movie 6.3 out of 10. Thi movie encourages the viewers to dream big. It also shows the present scenario of Manipuri law and order dilemma.
