General Pass Information • Payment must be made by cash, check, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. • Please note that children under 9 years must be accompanied by a paying responsible individual 16 years of age or older for Kemmerling Pool entry. • Individuals who are 24 and older or any other relatives/individuals in the same household will not be included on the family pass. • Parents or guardians must provide a copy of each child’s birth certificate. • Pool passes purchased under false pretenses will be revoked and NO refund will be issued. • There is a $5 charge to replace a lost or stolen pool pass. Passholders should keep their passes from year to year. A $5 fee will be charged to individuals who lost their passes from 2014. • A service fee of $15 per person (maximum of $30) will be issued for all pool pass refunds prior to opening day. No refunds will be issued after opening day. • Anyone not bringing their pass to the pool will be assessed a $3 pass look-up fee.

Roselle Swim School Your child will gain confidence and swimming skills that will prepare them for swim team or simply keep you at ease when at the pool. Swimmers in this level will focus on increasing their endurance levels for treading water and stroke swimming.
Swimmers in this level are preparing for the Roselle Racers swim team. Focus will be on technique for all four strokes to make them legal for competition. A “mini meet” will be held on the last day of each session for the swimmers to practice racing. Swimmers in this level MUST be able to front crawl without touching the bottom of the pool for a full 25 yards.

Calling all swimmers…new and returning are invited to join the Roselle Racers Swim Team for a fun filled summer at the Kemmerling Pool! The Roselle Racers are a member of the DuPage Swim and Dive Conference. 8 & under swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool without stopping; 9 & up must be able to swim two lengths. Swimmers compete against individuals in their own age group.
This team is perfect for an experienced diver or someone just looking to learn the art of diving. Members of this team will be able to refine their diving techniques and learn new skills in practice and at meets. The end of the season will conclude with one conference meet with each of the other dive teams from the DuPage Swim & Dive Conference.

Kemmerling Pool Rentals - 2015 Summer Season GROUP OUTINGS & RATES Group outings may take place during normal swim hours based upon availability. Groups of 15 or more must secure a reservation by booking an outing two weeks in advance to secure discounted rate. Rate: $4/person PRIVATE POOL RENTALS Private Pool Rentals are available after public swim hours and on limited weekend mornings. Volleyball net can be set up in main pool at no additional charge. Private rentals are available from 8:15-9:45 pm on weekdays and 9:45-11:15 am and 7:15-9:45 pm on weekends. Rate: $185/hour for Main Pool, Dive Well is additional $35/ hour. Camp Laugh-A-Lot (EB) AGES 5-12 must have had 5th birthday by 6/8 Camp Laugh-A-Lot includes a wide variety of children’s programs that combine education and fun, individual attention and group interaction. Camp will be split between two age groups; 5-8 year olds and 9-12 year olds. Camp will meet daily at the Clauss Recreation Center, with a new theme and related activities every week. After drop-off, the camp will split to help ensure that the campers get age appropriate activities. A portion of camp may be at The Scout Lodge as well. All pick-up and drop-off will be at the CRC. The camp schedule includes fun weekly themes, arts and crafts, themed games, swimming on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kemmerling Pool, and a weekly field trip on Wednesdays. Children need to bring sunscreen, creen, a lunch and drink every day. All campers will also receive a Roselle Park District Camp Laugh-A-Lot Summer Camp T-shirt. R o

Theater Camp Roselle Repertoire Theater Of The Arts Camp (EB) AGES 6-12 years old Hurry up and register for our five day intensive workshop which prepares the student for a full Musical Theater Production experience. Class will cover how to audition and prepare yourself for future musicals with our very own Roselle Repertoire Theater Of The Arts Program. Students will participate in a mini musical theater production which will include vocals, acting and musical theater choreography, They will also create their own costume and finish on the final day with a fun filled performance for family & friends. Early Childhood Summer Camps (DC) AGES 2-5 Is your child too young to be dropped off at camp all day? Would you like to prepare your child for a fall preschool class? Are you unsure if your child is ready for a field trip with big kids? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then our Early Childhood Summer Camps are perfect for your little tot. Send your child to spend their mornings with our caring and compassionate early childhood staff members who will keep their hands busy playing, their feet busy moving, and their minds busy learning. Different Early Childhood Camps will be offered this summer including: Toddler Time for the two and three year old tots, Summer Playschool for the older three year olds and younger four year olds, and Little Tikes Half Day Camp for the older four year olds and freshly turned five year olds.
As a parent you can feel secure knowing that your little one is with others their own age and getting the attention they need and deserve this summer. Kids will play in the classrooms, run around in the gym, and have fun outside at the playground. The little ones will also have basic circle time and make fun summer time crafts in their preschool camp.

Egg hunts aren’t just for kids; they are for our furry friends too! Bring your pup out to Odlum Dog Park to sniff out some treat filled eggs. The first pooch to sniff it, gets it! Please bring a basket to collect your dog’s eggs. Refreshments will be served for dog owners and their families. Don’t forget your cameras; this event is worth a few snapshots! If you are not a Roselle Park District Pooch Pass holder, proof of vaccinations is needed at time of registration. Preregistration is required. No online registration.
Grab your leash, some treats, and your adorable, loveable, drooling, four-legged doggy friend and come on over to the paths at Turner Pond! We will be hosting a Canine 5k and a Canine 1 Mile Walk! With water bowls and treat stations throughout the course your dog will love strutting their stuff. Don’t think your dog can complete a 5k or get through a leisurely mile, no problem! If your dog is more of the couch potato type, or not the outside and active type, no worries, each dog will get a treat bag just for participating! This is one tail-waggin’ walk in the park you don’t want to miss! Don’t forget to bring the family, a bag to bring home all your treats, and a bag to clean up after your pup. Co-Rec 15” Whiffle Ball “The Wifflot League” (VO) Begins May 15 Ages 8-10 Whiffle ball is a sport that is very similar to baseball. A new company coming to town called “The Wifflot” specializes in giving all of our players and fans an atmosphere that is identical to a Major League field. The Wifflot will have a fullfledged out public address system for our players. With individual walk up songs and players names being called to the plate, it will add more excitement to the game. The Wifflot owners will have a free promotion day at the Miracle Field in Roselle on April 24 at 7:05 pm. to find out what we are all about and what we will bring to the community. All teams will be guaranteed night games as well! Games will be scheduled for Fridays. Bats and balls are provided for the ten game season. Mitts are optional. Deadline to sign-up is May 1. The Roselle Park District is excited to announce that registration is now being accepted for our 2015 summer softball leagues. Fee for teams who have a Roselle Park District resident as captain is $650; non-resident team fee is $700. Included in these prices is a $75 forfeit fee which will be refunded following playoffs assuming a team does not forfeit a game during the season. Both regular season and playoff champions will receive prize money. Register early as leagues fill up fast! Full payment is due one week prior to start of the season.
We’re starting the season in May and ending early August so all you college kids can round up your buds for some fun and games and be back to school in time for the fall semester. Opening night is May 12 with games on the hour starting at 6:45 pm. Teams will play an eight game schedule plus playoffs. There will be a team trophy and prize money for regular season and playoff champions (not to mention bragging rights). Don’t forget some post-game laughs at a local establishment too! Fee must be paid-in-full before May 5. Season runs May 12-Aug 11.

Celebrate 50 years with the Roselle Park District The Roselle Park District was established in April of 1965. Donald Kemmerling was elected the first President of the Board of Park Commissioners by his fellow Park Commissioners, August Pasquini, Robert Cascio, Lowell Steger, and Alfred Engel. In 1968 a HUD grant was approved for the purchase of Kemmerling and Turner Park. In 1969 a successful referendum led to the construction of the original Kemmerling pool and in the summer of 1970 the Roselle Park District held its first swimming season. Over the next twenty years the District grew in size by acquiring Kennedy, Rock Run, Newcastle, Valley, Goose Lake, Chatburg, Gorski and Odlum Park. The rapid growth experienced by the District in 1990 would not be complete without mentioning the acquisition of Clauss Park and the grand opening of the Clauss Recreation Center in 1992. Since then the District has acquired more land, renovated and upgraded parks, and constructed the new Kemmerling Pool. Over the next year we invite you to take part in our many celebratory programs and special events. Beginning in the summer brochure, you will find a page dedicated to special programming and events celebrating our 50 years of service to the community.
