n May 17, Marathon High School celebrated the almost-graduation of its seniors with a special rally. The students decorated carts with the colors of their new schools or institutions and pushed each other around the gymnasium. Then students challenged teachers in “dizzy bat,” blindfolded and handless pie consumption, toilet paper mummifying and a free throw. On May 19, some of the seniors celebrated with family at a special dinner at Sunset Grille & Raw Bar. The festivities continue next week with class night on May 29 and graduation on May 31. —Weekly Staff report
