Amy Swailes got her start in insurance right out of college in Aon’s brokerage department, placing various lines of insurance. After working her way through the ranks at Aon, Swailes became interested in client-side operations and diving deeper into operational risk. Today, she is the global insurance and claims risk manager at Colliers International, where she provides oversight for the commercial real estate company’s global risk management functions. When asked what she looks for in an insurance provider, Swailes says, “being consultative, providing innovative solutions, responsiveness, being an expert in their line of coverage and the right cultural fit.” In addition to her responsibilities at Colliers, Swailes is a member of the Risk Management and Insurance Advisory Board at Washington State University. There are 15,000 employees of Colliers International, spread across 500 offices in 67 different countries.

Multiple years of risk management experience in property, marine, casualty, crime and trade credit coverage have led Leldon Buckley to his current role as insurance risk manager with Growmark, a regional cooperative providing agriculture-related products and services and grain marketing in the Midwest and Ontario, Canada. Buckley is responsible for the design, implementation, administration and optimization of Growmark’s global risk management operations, including its captive insurance program.

Bradley Witt is corporate risk manager for Helena Chemical Co., a $5.3 billion company that specializes in the formulation, sales, distribution and application of agricultural chemicals, fertilizer and seeds. Witt is responsible for insurance administration, risk analysis, safety/loss control, claims management, business continuity and surety bonding. In addition to his risk manager duties, Witt serves as secretary/treasurer for Helena Crop Insurance Agency. He is past president of the Memphis chapter of RIMS, and he’s also a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
Diane Labrador joined computer-chip maker Intel in 1982 and held various positions in the treasury department before her appointment to assistant treasurer in 1992. As director of risk management, Labrador is responsible for the assessment, placement, development and management of Intel’s risk programs. She is also a member of RIMS and a charter member of the Technology Insurance Risk Forum, as well as a consulting board member on multiple insurer councils.

Jamie Johnson began her risk management career in 2007 at Warner Bros. Enter tainment Group, and later served as an entertainment insurance associate at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. In her current position, Johnson assists in the daily risk management functions for two cable channels, HBO and Cinemax.
PARTHA NIYOGI

Partha Niyogi assists in Bechtel’s risk management operations throughout the Americas. Since 1898, Bechtel has completed more than 25,000 projects in 160 different countries by operating through four businesses: infrastructure; nuclear, security and environmental; oil, gas and chemicals; and mining and metals. Niyogi previously worked for the risk management teams of Bechtel’s oil, gas and chemicals and power divisions.
