Ron Pettit, Hatch Associates How does it feel to win? “Fantastic. I guess having found out I was a finalist you sort of dismiss the possibility of actually winning, so to be here with a group of my colleagues and some of the leaders of the business, to share this with, it’s fantastic.”

I’ve just been very lucky – I’ve got a group of incredibly dedicated people and I guess always as CEO a great group of people makes you look good. But really it’s all their hard work and their dedication and we’ve been doing some fantastic things.”

The Next Gen Australian HR Rising Star of the Year Jessie Hommelhoff, BHP Billiton Manganese What do you think has set you apart from your peers? “It has been a very big year for our company [and] I think probably what sets us aside is just having an amazing team that gets on so well together. We’re very much aligned to the direction in which we’re heading, and can bounce ideas off of each other. I’m very lucky to have a very supportive bunch of direct reports and peers as well.”
