Salans real estate head joins JT&N Beijing-headquartered Jincheng Tongda & Neal has made one of its most senior appointments, hiring Jeff Cai as a senior partner in its head office. Prior to joining JT&N, Cai served as a former partner and head of China Real Estate at Salans. Jeff Cai He specialises in PRC-related real estate transactions, including property development and construction, sales, leasing and management, acquisitions and dispositions, financing and distressed real estate. Cai also offers related tax planning and corporate and debt restructurings advice.

With more than twelve years’ practical experience, Cai has also advised many Fortune 500 companies on FDIs, M&A and corporate reorganisation activities in China. In addition, he has assisted a few PRC-based companies with their offshore listings.

Zhong Lun adds new partners Following the decision made at its second biannual partnership meeting this year, Zhong Lun Law Firm has elected three new partners. Zhang Xiaohao has been admitted to its second-tier partnership, and Sun Hui and Sheng Jun have become salary Zhang Haixiao partners. Zhang and Sheng are based in Shanghai, while Sun Hui is in Beijing. Piror to joining the firm, Zhang was a partner at Shanghai firm MWE China. She joined that firm from WongPartership’s Shanghai office in March 2009. Her practice areas cover insolvency, intellectual property, M& A, real estate and renewable energy. In addition to the promotion, the firm has also initiated its plan to set up a branch office in Hong Kong.
