The crisis also didn’t deter Firstmac from shaking up the SMSF lending market when it launched a simple low-fee product with both variable and fixed-rate options. Firstmac now plans to expand its team by hiring new BDMs and broker support staff and aims to become the employer of choice in the market. It’s also set on further improving its technology, particularly its Broker Tools app, to ensure that it remains the easiest lender in the market for brokers to deal with.
