Floyd County families help pilot workshop series on playful learning KET’s early childhood education staff joined families in Floyd County to pilot a new Ready Jet Go! family community learning workshop series. The series, sponsored by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting through its Ready To Learn program, encourages playful learning through hands-on activities. KET staff meet with families once each week over a four-week period to share a meal and teach fun ways to integrate science and literacy learning in their home activities. These workshops will ultimately be available for anyone to use through PBS LearningMedia, an online repository of more than 120,000 free educational lessons and digital resources.
