The nursing process is a scientific method of approaching and executing the nursing care of the patient. It provides an organized systematic approach to nursing care, thereby improving the probability of a positive outcome for the patients.
The nursing process was implemented by the nursing council of Kenya in all health organizations to improve the quality of nursing care in Kenya.
The department of nursing at the Ministry of Health included the nursing process as a framework of care in its 2008 – 2013 strategic plan.
Those who attended the event celebrated Ms. Lemba for this great achievement, saying that being the best student is a huge contribution to the department’s performance.
“This achievement is a win for everyone,” said Ms. Nzomo, the Nurse in charge of- the Staff Clinic.
