Puppy Tales*

School Age Sunday, February 21, 2-4 pm Join us for Puppy Tales and you can read to a dog at the Library! Studies have shown that reading to dogs improves children’s reading skills. Please call (859) 962-4003 to register.

Homeschool Science Fun*

Homeschool Grades 4-6 Tuesday, February 23, 1:30-2:30 pm Kids in grades 4-6 explore physics, use the scientific method and most of all have fun in this session of hands-on science experiments and activities.

Kids’ Open Crafting

School Age Wednesday, February 17, 4-5 pm We supply craft materials — you supply imagination and creativity! Open crafting means bring your friends and create whatever you dream up!

Lego Club

Preschool and School Age Thursdays, February 18 & 25, 4-5 pm Join us for some creative building fun! We have lots of LEGOS for you to build with and books to give you ideas. Make new friends and work together to make amazing LEGO creations – buildings, vehicles, and whatever else you can dream up! No need to register. Build as much as you want and then leave when you are ready.

Rhythm & Rhyme: Sensory Storytime*

Preschool Saturday, February 20, 11 am-noon Sensory Storytime is an interactive and educational program that is especially designed for children with sensory integration challenges. It combines activities to stimulate the senses and promote learning. If your child has difficulty sitting through one of the library’s other storytimes, this inclusive program of stories, songs and activities may be a better fit for him or her. School Age Wednesday, February 24, 4-5 pm Animals do all sorts of amazing things! Join us for a look at some different cold-weather animal habits and adaptations. We’ll share stories, games, experiments, and a craft.

Fiesta!

School Age Thursday, February 25, 7-8 pm Celebrate Mexico’s Flag Day, which was yesterday, with a fiesta! Share stories from Mexico, games, treats, and more!

Ninja Day @ The Library! Preschool & School Age Friday, February 26, 4:30-5:30 pm Kids come dressed up as a ninja to listen to sneaky ninja stories and play ninja games.

Happy Birthday, Clifford!

Ages 2-6 Friday, February 19, 4:30 pm Children ages 2-6 come and celebrate Clifford the Big Red Dog’s birthday! We will read books, make a craft to take home, and have some snacks to share.

Babes in Storyland Ages 0-2; Caregiver required Mondays, 10 am; Tuesdays, 9:30 & 10:30 am Enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and social time! Limited to thefirst 15 babies in attendance; siblings welcome.

Rise N Shine Ages 2-5; Caregiver required Mondays, noon Enjoy stories, rhymes and an art activity. Limited to 40 children.

Bedtime Stories Ages 2-5; Caregiver required Tuesdays, 7 pm Wear your pajamas to a program with stories, puppets, singing and dancing.
