Editor’s Note Hello hello Key Clubbers! Welcome to my October newsletter! How has school been so far? I know I’ve been having a kind of stressful time with my running start classes, but that’s okay, I know you guys are probably struggling just as much. However! Events are still going on and you can still sign up for events so check the Facebook page and keep an eye on fundraisers. We have one going one right now so go and join it if you can! It’s finally my seventh newsletter so that means it’s already half way through our term T^T But us officers have so much more planned so we’ll definitely make this term great! I hope you guys enjoy reading my Halloween themed newsletter and I’ll see you in the next one!!

Presidents Letter Hey Key Clubbers, We’ve been very busy lately with all of these service events. Keep volunteering and ask your friends to come help out as well. It is October which means keep your eyes for some spoopy events coming our way. We’re going to have SKCAC on Tuesday the 24th! If you’re interested in being part of the committee then please apply! Applications will not longer be accepted October 10th @6:30PM. SKCAC has been an annual dance that we would host for Aktion Club. They’re special needs adults but this year we’re going to try to work with ASB so the special needs kids in our own school can also be part of it! PAY YOUR DUES! They have went up to $14 now and you must pay for ASB ($30) as well. You will need ASB to do any clubs or sport and you get discounts on school activities/items. Paying for your dues is very important. If you want your community service hours to transfer to your culminating project then you should pay your dues in order for the officer board, John (our Kiwanian) and Ms. Aguayo to approve your hours and sign them off. Also, I am very proud of the new members but being active and serving the community. We’re doing a fantastic job and I hope you all enjoy serving the Community along with socializing and meeting cool new friends!

In love and service, Lexie Lam

Month in Review: October 2017 4

Hellllooooo Key Clubbers!!! September went by fast, but is one of the most significant months when it comes to Kent-Meridian Key Club, yes, you may know what I'm talking about, CONCESSIONS!!! The month of September was full of concessions and other volunteering opportunities, hope you guys are out there getting those hours đ&#x;˜€ Later in the month, Roll To Cure took place along with the Official Call To Convention video!! Go watch it if you haven't already! At the end of the month, we had volunteering for the Historical Gala Event and our September DCM! It makes me so happy seeing members old and new, especially freshmen, getting so involved in Key Club this early in the year, getting those hours and attending events. Also be sure to pay your dues, which are currently $14! The spooky month of October is upon us, keep on volunteering and filling up those UNICEF boxes and always STAY KEY-NECTED!!!

In Love and Service and even more love, Elijah Suarez
