Finish the look with a back splash and a new faucet. You can buy tile at your local

home stores for little money. You can google and do the project yourself. You will need glue, grout and probably a few tools. You can buy a nice faucet for few hundred dollars and that is the finishing touch!

Put your kitchen back together with a few new accessories and maybe some window treatments. With a budget you can have a great new kitchen! Take the time to do your homework, ask ques‐ tions and research before you start your project.

“KITCHEN FACELIFTS” So, your kitchen needs a faceli and your budget isn’t looking so good! You can do several small changes to your kitchen and give it a fresh new look with just a little bit of work and money. Let’s start with the cabinets. Should we replace, reface or paint? If you are at all handy, I suggest you paint. A few gallons of a good paint, new hinges, handles and a weekend of your time is all it take to give your cabinet a new look. Here are the steps needed to paint cabinet: · Clean cabinets with STP or similar product. · You will need to lightly sand the cabi‐ nets or use a liquid sand paper. is will rough up the surface to accept the paint. · Let dry completely and apply a layer of primer. Again, ask your paint store to help you with the primer that you should use. · Talk to your paint store about a good paint to use for painted cabinets is going to cost you around 60.00 and up. De‐ pending on the size of the kitchen you will need 1 to 2 gallons of paint. · en apply 2 coats of paint with a roller. · If you like to distressed cabinets aer they are completely dry, sand lightly on edges and corners. · At this point if you like you can glaze the cabinets with a contrasting color. · Add some new hinges and hardware to the cabinets and you have a fresh new look. Counter tops is your next big decision. Although granite has come down on pricing, it can still cost. You can buy

granite tile squares instead. Although it is has seams it still have a great granite feel. For short term fix, you can paint your counters. Again, ask your paint store expert and he will help you with product. You can also wrap your coun‐ ters with sheets of stainless steel or cop‐ per. is might be a bit tricky so research the process well.

e only thing le is to paint your walls. You might also want to consider painting

Good Luck and let us know how you
