United together, our work impacts our community.

When one succeeds, we all succeed.

UNITED TOGETHER

There are moments in each of our lives when we can recall the difference someone made because they were generous with their time, resources or expertise. Your support of United Way ensures a better tomorrow for your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. It is why you give, advocate and volunteer. Thank YOU for making a positive impact in Saginaw County. “Although it can feel like a never ending battle, we need to continue to work together in order for our community to prosper, thrive and be successful. Having been born and raised within this community, my inspiration comes from trying to help restore and maintain the place that made me who I am today.” - Jared Sanderson, The Work Wear Store

People can live their best when they are educated, healthy and financially stable. Once people have a balance of all three areas, they are able to build a thriving community. FINANCIAL STABILITY VISION: Individuals and families move to long-term financial stability and self-sufficiency.

of Saginaw County

HEALTH VISION: Individuals and families will live a healthy lifestyle.

OUR VISION: A safe, nurturing community where all families can thrive.

EDUCATION VISION: Every student graduates ready to be a successful contributor to society.

Once thriving, these same people can then become advocates, leading their friends and family down the same path.

Many great resources exist in our community. United Way encourages these programs to work together on goals that target our community’s most important issues. We can expand and enhance services, find those in need who are not receiving help, exchange data, provide results and work towards community-driven outcomes.

“Collaboration is key to our community’s success and wellbeing. With more hands involved in an effort, resources are multiplied and the diversity of individuals and organizations ensures a wider level of engagement.” - Rev. Hurley & Sandra Coleman, World Outreach Campus Church “Being a United Way advocate goes beyond the organization itself. It involves making a difference EVERY DAY, no matter how big or how small, and encouraging those around you to do the same!” - Jarrod Eaton, Saginaw Valley State University Student Association President/ AmeriCorps Alumni

STRONGER United together, we can make our community stronger. We all win whenever a child succeeds in school, a family is more financially stable and individuals are healthy. The potential for a STRONGER Saginaw County starts with YOU!

COMMUNITY

Because of your investment in the community, United Way of Saginaw County can collaborate with local businesses and nonprofits to ensure people facing educational, financial or health crises are easily connected to the resources they need to return to stable ground.

COLLABORATION

STRONGER

United Way has a unique model of bringing together volunteers, nonprofits, government, businesses and faith-based organizations to assess community needs and address complex issues in our community. When you invest in United Way, you are not only supporting our affiliated programs, you are building a collaboration of talents, passion, expertise and resources needed to make Saginaw County a better place to work and live.
