“Kanakuk Kamps is not like typical summer camps. We incorporate the best of sports camps and the best of Christian camps together with a hand-picked, dedicated, kid-loving Christian athletic staff to offer your child a summer camping experience like no other.” -Joe White, President and Owner of Kanakuk Kamps

Exciting Adventure

This summer I had the opportunity to go to K-West! This was my fifth year to go to Kamp. I couldn’t wait to get there and reunite with my former Kabin mates. I learned a lot about how completely and totally awesome our God is and about how small I am compared to Him. Last year we had a great time hanging out with friends, building new relationships, and chillin’ with God... and we ALWAYS have fun!

The Kanakuk Kamps Story

Kanakuk Kamps began in 1926 with a group of boys from Texas trekking to the Ozarks for 8 weeks of building character and stamina alongside great Christian role models. Since then Kanakuk has grown into 7 kids kamps and K-Kauai Family Kamp. Along the way we have found that character and stamina are timeless, great Christian role models are priceless and that boys, girls and families should share in the fun. Kanakuk promises to provide you with an “Exciting Adventure in Christian Athletics.” We see you as family, growing with us as we strive to provide the best in Christian camping. We dream of your family making memories with us for years to come

Lexi Haridek: All-State Basketball As the March Madness has almost run its course and high school basketball now over, I continue to get reports of our K2 kids performing remarkable feats for our Savior Jesus Christ on the hardwood. Lexi Hardiek is a 4.0 student and a sophomore for the Hill City High basketball team. Last summer Lexi came to camp for the first time, and as good as K2 Basketball speciality is, Lexi actually loved Debbie Jo’s Bible study even more! This season Lexi averaged 22.3 points per game, earned unanimous first team all-league, and earned 2nd Team Kansas All-State honors! Lexi’s team finished 15-8 losing in substate to the eventual Kansas State Runner-ups! We cannot imagine how great the rest of Lexi’s career at Hill City High will be since they are only losing one starter from this years’ team! Keep it up Lexi!

T

rip is an important part of Kanakuk, and in Summer 2009 some exciting changes will be made. Two-week Kampers will get to spend time at K-Wet and enjoy their famous “Icky”! Both places will offer climbing, canoeing, and other water sports.

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. -Romans 6:4 Most of the Kamps are located on Table Rock Lake, allowing Kampers to be baptized if they make the decision to follow Christ.
